The Texas Musicians Museum in Irving is fast becoming recognized as the premiere conservatory of Texas extensive music history! Music fans young and old alike delight in viewing the fascinating artifacts and music memorabilia from Texas musicians of all genres in a brand new multimillion-dollar facility in downtown Irving's Heritage Crossing district. Visitors will find one-of-a-kind personal artifacts, history, instruments, photos and much more from such renowned Texas music legends as Buddy Holly, Janis Joplin, Selena, Beyonce and ZZ Top … just to name a few. Thousands of throwback pieces from the rich and diverse Texas music scene are on display, including a striking, 50 foot long wooden guitar salvaged from a historic Eric Clapton concert at Dallas’ Fair Park. Country, Blues, Heavy Metal, to Soul, Tejano, Rock ‘n Roll, Rock pioneers and artists are on display. The museum destination lends greatly to the ambience of Irving’s old town square where visitors can go back in time to a truly Americana setting.
Texas music lives on at the Texas Musicians Museum, not only through its exclusive displays and memorabilia, but with live music shows every weekend! Open Wed-Sun 11a-5p, until 10p Fri-Sat. Come out to the Texas Musicians Museum on Friday and Saturday nights. Tour the museum, then order up a delicious meal where the grill is fired up, at Smokin’ Joe’s café(named in tribute to the late Smokin’ Joe Kubek of Irving). Add a cold beer, wine, Margarita or try our NEW frozen Bellini’s from the bar. Listen to wonderful Texas music in our comfortable air-conditioned front lobby, or when the weather permits, under the stars at our fabulous Texas Music Garden.
