TMMTexas Musicians Museum
We have a rich heritage of music here in Texas and it’s being celebrated in Hillsboro, at the Texas Musicians Museum.

Finally, a fun museum that’s not just dusty stuff from the past. It’s music, our music, TEXAS Music!

See unique displays of real Texas music memorabilia - Actual stage outfits, awards, and instruments from many of Texas’ greatest music legends!

Visit our visitors shop and buy TMM merchandise or valuable Texas Music collectors items, such as original recordings, posters, awards, authentic autographs and vintage guitars.


SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

The TMM's NEW hours are now: Friday - Saturday 11 am - 6 pm  

Special Note: Because of the extreme 100 degree temperatures this August, we recommend for you to visit the museum in the earlier part of the day.  This is a 100 year old plus building and it is difficult to keep it cool after 3 pm.  Thanks for your understanding and please feel free to contact us for an earlier appointment time.

 
Come see our new displays and items we have for the 2010 season!
 
Make sure to mark you calendar for November 13 and 14, 2010 for the TMM's TEXAS GUITAR, CLASSIC CAR & HOT ROD SHOW at West Fraternal Auditorium.  Located on I-35 north bound service road in the city of West.  Besides the great deals on guitars and equipment, there will be Live music, classic car & hot rod sale lot, food, beer and a Texas KING of Guitar Competition!
Hours are Saturday 10 - 6 pm and Sunday 10 - 5 pm  admission is ONLY $7 or $10 for a 2 day ticket
 
HOST your next Party, Wedding or Event in the TMM's "Big Back Yard, which includes a full size stage with PA system.  Basic costs start at only $500 and accommodates up to 100-1500 people.  
The TMM will be glad to assist you in booking bands and any other needs you may have for your function.

Special offer for this summer! Passing through or on your way to the lake?  FREE overnite camping in the TMM's "Big Backyard"with paid admission to the museum.
(some restrictions may apply during events, one night per person, per paid admission, limited facilities available).

TMM needs your help!
The Texas Musicians Museum needs your help!  
 
Private funding has become more of a challenge than ever before. The museum always needs funds to help with operating costs to keep running.  You or your business can help by gifting money in exchange for mentions or advertising on or website and in the museum.

We are setting up our online store so that you can gift money using Paypal. This will allow you to send money safely and securely through your bank account or credit card, without giving up your private information.

The TMM's Director, Thomas Kreason is now available for speaking engagements for a small fee or for free if you qualify.  Please contact us to make arrangements to schedule a date to have the TMM present a program that will be remembered and talked about for years!

When you come to visit the Texas Musicians Museum, be sure to take the time to visit Willie Nelson's hometown of Abbott, Texas, just 8 miles south of Hillsboro and 1 mile east of I-35. 

 Visit Willie's Abbott Cash Grocery & Market, the actual store that Willie used to visit when he was a youngster.  When you go in, you will be greeted by Major, who is one of the nicest store clerks in Texas.
